Chanakya Opportunities Fund I, a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) launched under the Chanakya Fund Trust by StepTrade Share Services Pvt Ltd, has successfully achieved its final close at ₹100 crore. This milestone marks a strong endorsement of the fund’s vision to empower India’s high-potential small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
With a sector-agnostic thesis, the fund aims to back 20–25 SMEs with strong fundamentals, allocating between ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore per company. At least 51% of the fund will be deployed into unlisted companies across high-potential sectors such as manufacturing, consumer, and technology. These businesses are guided toward listing on India’s SME Exchange, enabling long-term value creation.
The fund is managed by a dynamic leader Kresha Gupta, a Director and Fund Manager, and Ankush Kumar Jain, Co-Fund Manager. Together, they bring deep experience in investment structuring, capital markets, and portfolio management.
The fund offers a 5-year horizon, structured exits, and a strong commitment to investor value.
