Investors high on SME IPOs with up to 1,300% returns. Is it time to get sober?

Investors making a beeline for SME IPOs is not merely based on hype of returns but on account of significant shift in interest due to strategic reasons, experts say. Entry of marquee investors and solid fundamentals is helping these small-sized companies find greater traction.
An Ace Equities data analysed by ETMarkets shows 57 SME IPOs getting listed this year so far with 22 out of them turning multibaggers. There are 20 stocks which have given double-digit returns, one has yielded single digit returns while 12 have seen their stock price fall below the issue price.
